Cook out and game day was fun! Even the ladies had their go at 5-a-side soccer. Our partners from Sweden (Jeremiah & Sarah) and other Ahaban volunteers made these tasty tacos. Quite different from the kids are used to but the loved it all the same! We topped it off with some amazing cupcakes donated by Cake Village Ghana. The smiles on their faces, laughter and fun says it all. Reminds us that nothing beats the time we spend with these orphaned kids. The experience we share and interaction means a whole lot more to them than the material things. The icing on the cake was the donations we made. Clothes and toys for the younger kids among them. The visit was a surprise, they didn’t even have a clue we were coming at the with our green package. All in all it was a day well spent. Lives touched, hope ignited and definitely some growth for both the orphans and the volunteers. That’s what we’re about at Ahaban. There’s always growth in giving back. Give & Grow folks. We look forward to going back there soon to follow up on the building projects and installation of electricity and furnishing the classrooms.
