#GreenAtHeart – Stormzy donated a huge amount of money to UK student’s Harvard fund

A UK student is one of very few to have been accepted into the prestigious Harvard University over in America, but she faces a pretty big problem: the fee is way too expensive.

Fiona Asiedu needed a total of £14,000 to enroll over there and take on her Masters course in Human Development and Psychology, but looked set to hit slightly short of the mark.

That was until one Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Junior donated £9000 this Monday morning. Fans will recognise this as Stormzy’ real name.

French Montana Starts Fundraising Campaign to Build Maternity Centers in Uganda

A few weeks ago, French Montana and Swae Lee headed to Kampala, Uganda to film their “Unforgettable” video. In the footage, you can see the locals bust out their best moves for the cameras:

While he was in Uganda for the shoot, French met a local advocate and (as a result) he pledged to build a maternity center in the East African nation. Furthermore, he has put together a global initiative to help raise funds for future maternity centers across the country.

So far, he has donated $100,000 to Mama Hope to build an expansion for the Suubi “Hope” Health Center in the rural village of Budando. He’s also encouraging both his peers, friends, and fans to do the same.

His partnership with Mama Hope has also led to him continuing his #UnforgettableDanceChallenge in an effort to get money for ambulances, premature incubators, cribs, and a blood bank (in addition to the aforementioned construction of the Suubi “Hope” Health Center expansion). Other stars, including Drake, DJ Khaled, and Diddy, have already taken their shot at it. The tally of participants is currently at over 50,000 #UnforgettableDanceChallenges around the world and counting.

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has funded the construction of 20 classrooms in war-torn Syria.

The donation was made to Unicef through the Argentine’s Leo Messi Foundation and has allowed more than 1,600 children to continue to be educated in “adequately furnished classrooms” according to Spanish sports daily Marca.

The classrooms are also fully equipped with solar panels to provide the children with the best possible learning environment despite the on-going conflict in the country, which has lasted six years.
